When you consider of the Out Western Isles, you usually conceive of flaxen beaches, ancient standing up rock and tripping Scottish accents. You do non unremarkably associate the Out Hebridean Isles with some of the best motorring in the British Islets…

• The B8011 from Calanais to Uig Littoral zone on Lewis is grotesque. The beach at Uig Littoral is grand, but it’s worth locomoting there for the drive alone.
• If you have a rider with you, get them to assist by spotting approaching cars. An extra pair of eyes can be priceless.
